Trust & Safety
We’re committed to making Bloomvy a safe and trusted platform for all.
At Bloomvy, we bring together those who create and appreciate the beauty of gardens and outdoor spaces. That's why the safety of both our guests and hosts is one of our highest priorities. A secure, respectful marketplace builds lasting trust between those who open their gardens, those who visit, and the platform that connects them.
We’re actively working to create a community that’s safe, reliable, and rooted in trust. Here’s how we help minimize risk with your trust and safety in mind.
-
Secure payments. All guest payments are processed safely through our secure system, powered by Stripe. Payouts are released promptly after each successful visit. To ensure protection for both parties, always book and receive payment through Bloomvy. Payments made outside the platform are not covered by our policies, and we cannot guarantee them.
-
Communication. Our secure messaging system makes it easy to connect with your host or guest before a visit and coordinate details after booking. For everyone’s safety and clarity, all communication should stay within Bloomvy.
-
Verified reviews. After each booking, both guests and hosts have up to 7 days to leave a review. This two-way system builds trust and transparency across the Bloomvy community. Listing reviews appear publicly on the garden’s listing page. Guest reviews are visible on the guest’s profile, helping hosts get to know who’s booking their space.
-
Clear policies. Our transparent cancellation and usage policies are designed to protect both guests and hosts, ensuring a fair and reliable experience for everyone.
-
Community standards. All users are required to agree to our Terms of Service which includes guidelines that promote respect, care, and safety throughout the Bloomvy community.
-
Third party liability claim protection. By submitting a booking request, guests agree to Bloomvy’s Waiver and Release.
Best Practices for Guests
-
Review the listing carefully. Before making a booking, take time to read the full listing details. Understanding the host’s rules and expectations helps ensure a smooth visit. When your booking is accepted, you’re agreeing to both Bloomvy’s policies and terms set by the host.
-
Check the reviews. Guest reviews are a helpful resource. Reading them can give you a sense of whether the space is the right fit for you. After your visit, leave a thoughtful review to help future guests and strengthen the Bloomvy community. If a listing doesn’t have reviews yet, feel free to reach out to the host with any questions.
-
Ask questions and be transparent. Sharing details with your host upfront helps ensure a smooth experience. Let your host know what you plan to do in their space. You can always message the host to learn more about their listing or ask about their policies before booking.
-
Keep all communication and payments through Bloomvy. To protect your personal information and ensure secure transactions, all messaging, bookings and payments should stay on Bloomvy. If anyone asks you to pay or communicate outside the platform, please report it to us right away.
-
Perform a quick safety check. When you arrive, take a moment to look around the property and identify any potential hazards for you or your group. Being aware of your surroundings helps ensure a safe and enjoyable visit.
Best Practices for Hosts
-
List with transparency and accuracy. Ensure your host profile is complete and informative. Provide accurate details about your space’s features, permitted activities and rules.
-
Establish expectations. Before confirming a booking, clearly define what guests can and cannot do in your space. Specify any usage restrictions and rules in your listing. During the booking process, ask clarifying questions about the guest’s intended use to avoid misunderstandings. If appropriate, consider doing a brief walkthrough before the visit.
-
Review and connect with guests. Take time to review the guest’s profile, reviews, and booking history before accepting a booking. If you need more details, message the guest directly through the platform to learn more. If anything seems inaccurate or misrepresented, please contact Bloomvy Support.
-
Keep communication open and responsive. Clear and timely communication builds trust, helps guests feel confident, and sets the stage for a successful visit.
-
Get your space guest-ready. As the host, you’re responsible for the safety and care of your space. Prior to each visit, secure or remove valuables, fragile items, and anything sensitive or potentially hazardous. Document your space with photos or videos before and after bookings. If you plan to be on-site or use security cameras, be upfront with your guest to ensure transparency and comfort.
